Does Steadlo employ the care professionals?

No. Steadlo introduces you to verified, self-employed care professionals. You choose who supports you and agree the care together, and we handle the booking and payments.

How are care professionals checked?

Before anyone is approved we check their Enhanced DBS certificate, identity, right to work, references and care training certificates.

When do I pay?

We save your card when you send your first request, and take the first month of your Steadlo membership then; it's monthly after that. Once a care professional accepts, each visit's price is held on your card shortly before it and paid to them after it. You see the full price first, and all of the visit's price goes to your care professional.

What if our care professional can't make it?

We let you know straight away and automatically ask others who meet your preferences, starting with care professionals you already know. Anyone who differs from what you asked for is only asked if you agree. Cover depends on who's free, so we can't always promise it.
