Cookies on Steadlo

Cookies are small files saved on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit a website.

This page explains the cookies Steadlo uses. You can choose which optional cookies you're happy for us to use on this device.

Cookies that help with our advertising

These tell us which of our adverts brought you to Steadlo, so we can reach more families looking for care. They include Meta's (Facebook and Instagram), which let Meta tell us when someone who saw one of our adverts signs up or asks for care. Meta never receives anything about the care someone needs, and these cookies are never used on the pages you see once signed in, apart from asking for care.

  • steadlo-from: where you came from when you first visited, saved with your account if you sign up (30 days)
  • _fbp: Meta's, to recognise your browser for advertising (90 days)
  • _fbc: Meta's, to remember the advert you clicked (90 days)

Cookies that remember your settings

These remember choices you make, so Steadlo opens the way you left it next time.

  • steadlo-side: whether you last used Steadlo to book care or to work, if you do both. Without this choice it's kept only until you close your browser, so pages stay on the side you're using (1 year)
  • steadlo-staff-menu: whether the staff area's menu is open, for Steadlo's staff (1 year)
  • Notifications offer: that you chose "Not now" when offered notifications (kept in your browser, not a cookie). Without this choice it's forgotten when you close your browser (30 days)

Strictly necessary cookies

These make Steadlo work, so they're always on.

  • Signing in: keeps you signed in, and, if you choose, remembers a device for two-step sign-in (7 days from your last visit, or 30 days for a trusted device)
  • steadlo-cookies: remembers your choices on this page (1 year)
  • steadlo-site-pass: remembers you've typed the password, on sites that have one before they open (90 days)
  • __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid: Stripe's, set on the pages where you add a card or pay, to prevent fraud (1 year, and 30 minutes)

On a care professional's phone, Steadlo also keeps their day, the records they haven't sent yet and forms they're part-way through, so they can work with no signal. These aren't cookies; they stay in the browser until they're sent or the person signs out.
